Powder
Powder is an extremely important tool for your makeup kit, as it not only absorbs oil, but is also critical for setting foundation, blush, and eye makeup.
Logona offers fantastic powders, including a beautiful loose powder and a high-performing pressed powder. Sante pressed powder was rated the top pressed powder in the Green Beauty Bible, the top-selling guide to natural makeup in England. Couleur Caramel has 3 fantastic powders: their matte pressed powder, their sun powder with a hint of shimmer (but not glitter), and their exceptionally lightweight loose powder, perfect for use as a translucent setting powder. Alima and Jane Iredale likewise offer fabulous loose finishing powders and of course, the pressed foundation can be used as a pressed powder, just be sure to apply very lightly.
Concealer
Concealer has two main purposes: to reduce the appearance of circles underneath the eyes, and to cover imperfections on the rest of the face, such as blemishes and small veins.
Jane Iredale has created an impressive range of concealers for just about every purpose. For under the eyes, Circle/Delete 2 is a top choice, as the pinkish side cancels out purples and blues, and for really stubborn circles, Enlighten provides even more coverage and color-balancing.
rms beauty's "un" cover-up melts beautifully into the skin, and can be used both under the eyes and to hide redness elsewhere on the face.
Zuzu offers excellent liquid concealers that work well both under the eyes and on blemishes.
Couleur Caramel's concealers have a silky quality, and function similarly to rms beauty's, but are not advised for oily skin. Their green correcter cream is a miracle-worker for balancing cheek redness caused by rosacea, redness around the nose and under the chin, or other red spots on the face. Alima's color balancing powder in Pistachio is similarly effective at correcting redness, and is perfect for use under Alima's mineral foundation.
If the skin under your eyes is still fairly taut, Sante concealer pencil is a great choice and is easy to apply exactly where you need it. It was awarded best natural concealer by Elle magazine and is also perfect for effectively covering hard to reach areas with precision, such as spots or blemishes, the area around the nose or the inside eye area.
Speaking of blemishes, The Nature of Beauty offers two fabulous concealers that treat blemishes while hiding them from view. Logona's Blemish Concealer is creamy and perfect for light to medium skin, and is the perfect complement to Logona's Blemish Stick. Jane Iredale's Zap and Hide comes in a wider variety of shades, and has a treatment stick on one end and the concealer on the other.
