Permanent Makeup Training - Machines, Tools & Needles

Learn the skills and secrets of permanent makeup from an industry expert. Jennifer Baskin has been doing permanent makeup for 19 years and performs all permanent makeup and tattoo services at The Nature of Beauty Spa in Minneapolis, as well as areola tattooing for breast cancer patients and scar camouflage at Midwest Plastic Surgery in Edina.

Machines, Tools & Needles is a 3 hour theory only training

If you are completely new to the field and would like to learn certain skills such as just Microblading, Machines, Tools & Needles is NOT a prerequisite. If you want to learn shaded/ombre/powder brows, eyeliner or lips then this is a prerequisite. If you have already had previous training then this class may not be a necessity unless you feel that your trainer did not give you in depth knowledge of these areas;

  • Machine options, pros and cons, costs
  • Reputable brands and purchasing recommendations
  • Power Supplies and adapters
  • Needles and needle groupings/configurations
  • Gauge, taper and solder
  • Bugpins vs traditional
  • Understanding codes and numbers of needles and cartridges
  • Stroke Length and Cam size
  • How does stroke length impact results?
  • Speed and hand movements
  • Safety and sanitation of machines and needles

Please contact Jennifer directly: jennifer@natureofbeauty.com for more information and set up a time to meet as well as a tentative timeline for training.
